Wearing ordinary rubber boots, we only walk approx. 1 km out into the Wadden Sea before we reach one of the big ones
oyster banks, where we collect lots of fresh oysters. With full buckets we drive to
outdoor campfire, where we prepare the collected oysters together.

After the trip out into the Wadden Sea, we prepare the catch on an outdoor grill and serve it with a glass
bubbles.

Oysters were previously so exclusive and sought after that the Danish king for several hundred years
then elevated oysters to "royal regale", which simply meant that oysters belonged
the king. Being able to serve oysters testified to power and wealth, and oysters in the Wadden Sea
defended with both gunboats and capital punishment!

The trip lasts approx. 4th hour We recommend practical and warm, wind and waterproof clothing, rubber boots and waterproof gloves.
Remember bucket for oysters.
It may be a good idea to bring a change of clothes. The Østersbanken, which we visit, is located in the cleanest area of the Wadden Sea.
However, eating oysters is always at your own risk.
