Beskrivelse
Get up close to life in the Wadden Sea and the exposed, luxuriant mud flat we reach
forces the soft bottom at low tide. About 300 meters out we focus on
collection of oysters and the other specialties of the Wadden Sea - the many different ones
mussel species. Come along when we find LOTS of oysters and sand clams,
blue mussels, cockles and beach snails.
The Wadden Sea National Park contains completely unexpected and overwhelming experiences, and there are
many ways to experience the world's most important tidal zone, the Wadden Sea National Park and
UNESCO World Natural Heritage on If you want to have all your senses stimulated, then there is one
oyster trip the ultimate experience. You get really close when we get just a hundred
meters out on the mudflats you will find the oyster banks, where you can pick lots of oysters
– the world's rudest raw material.
OysterSafari takes place at low tide, where we walk over the exposed mud flat
to the oyster banks, which are located in the cleanest part of the Wadden Sea. The soft bottom,
can be a challenge, but no worse than everyone being able to join.
When you have collected enough of the fruits of the sea, there is of course a tasting of oysters,
while it is told about the Wadden Sea sisters, who as royal regalia and export goods
brought in fortunes, but which died out and was then replaced by a new oyster adventure
starting on the island of Sild. A tale of wealth, power and decay. We tell
naturally also about how you can prepare oysters and mussels.

Wonderful oyster trip here during the Christmas days on Rømø... exciting story about invasive Pacific oysters which suddenly spread due to climate change... 1-2 degrees rise and we have an oyster bank in the Wadden Sea. Oysters for the New Year have been saved, so with a little bubbles they will probably slide down and we will remove some of the invasive species... thanks for a wonderful trip in lovely weather..
Super guide, good trip and lots of oysters
Very nice guided tour, where you were entertained and got good information about oysters, mussels etc., as well as where you can find them. It was a lovely trip and we returned home with two large buckets full of oysters. Oyster safari with Sort Safari is highly recommended! 🙂
Really nice guided tour with Flemming, who managed to make it all exciting and interesting. We got both the story of Oysters and a whole bucket of oysters home. Highly recommend Black safari for oyster safari.
Great trip with wildly skilled guides, good weather and buckets of oysters!
