The Wadden Sea National Park offers completely unexpected and magnificent experiences. There are many ways to experience the tides in the Wadden Sea National Park and UNESCO World Natural Heritage. On an oyster trip you get all your senses stimulated.
You get really close when, just a few hundred meters out on the mudflats, we find the oyster banks, where you can pick lots of oysters. Oyster trips take place when it is low tide, the guide takes you out across the water to the oyster banks, which are located in the cleanest part of the Wadden Sea. When you have collected enough oysters, we will of course taste them out on the water. You will learn how to open oysters the right way.
When we're back on the beach, we grill oysters and ringfish etc. Eq. from Højer Sausages.
We show you how to au gratin oysters with various accessories.
Drinks can be purchased for the barbecue event.

Faq
There are a maximum of 20 people on the tours per guide. Rubber boots can be rented for DKK 40 per pair when ordering. Gloves can be bought for DKK 30 per pair in 5 different sizes. The trip lasts approx. 3 to 4 hours depending on whether it is at Hjerpsted or Rømø. You must have practical and warm, windproof and waterproof clothing as well as rubber boots (preferably long-handled) Bring a bucket for your oysters, It is a good idea to wear gloves (e.g. neoprene, garden gloves, possibly waterproof) Bring a change of clothes, as you can stay a little wet and mud easily gets on your clothing. The Østersbanken, which we visit, is located in the cleanest area of the Wadden Sea.
the trip out to the oyster bank can be physically tough, therefore we recommend that people with poor walking conditions or people with walking difficulties do not take them out.
You must bring clothes that may get dirty, a bucket for the oysters.
